Stitch Maynia Day 1 - Earth Day 2017 by Modern Folk Embroidery

Stitch Maynia

This year is the first year I'm participating in Stitch Maynia. (Stitch Maynia is a closed group on Facebook, they have events all year, but Stitch MAYnia takes place beginning May 1 each year.) In a nutshell, for the first 15 days of May, I will begin 15 (maybe) new stitching projects along with lots of other Stitch Mayniacs. The rules are extremely flexible, but it's a good way to get motivated to tackle some new projects.

Stitch Maynia 2017 - Project #1

Modern Folk Embroidery - "Free Earth Day 2017 Pattern."  Unfortunately this pattern was only available on their website through April 27, but they do offer a few free patterns.  I'm stitching it on linen with DMC thread. I am using a 2 strand combo of 3051 & 523.
